Tourist Places of coorg:
  

1.Dubare Elephant Camp:
     

   

      Dubare elephant camp is located in the banks of river cauvery.One has to cross the river by boat in order to reach the camp and during summers the water level decreases hence people can go by foot.The elephants are trained for Mysore Dasara.Elephants caught at various places are bought here are trained and conserved.  

                                                                   

2.NAMDROLING  MONESTRY :                                                                                                                                                  

                                     

This place is situated in the tibetian colony in Kushalnagar.It is the place of worship for buddhist .They have their study centre also here.Also there is a huge shopping area situated outside this place with wollen materials etc...                                                           

3.Cauvery Nisarga Dhama :                                     

                    

This is kind of a bamboo forest .One has go through the hanging bridge .And there are statues representing the coorg cultures etc.Itsagain an amazing place.                                           

                                                                 

 4.Harangi Dam  :                                                   

  

The best time to visit this place is at monsoon as one to see the flow of water from the dam.unfortunately i couldnt see the flow of water since i had visited at off season . This dam is built at river shabarimala.There is a park situated at this place with various types of plants and flowers in it.                                                                                                   

                                                                   

5.Madikeri Fort:

The above picture is of palace.i dont have the picture of fort so sorry .The fort is situated around the palace .one can walk on it there is also an temple situated in it .This is very old.It is not properly maintained.                                                            

                                                         

6.Abbey Falls :                                                        

       

                          The best time to view this falls is at monsoon  as the flow is high during monsoon.one has to climb down the steps from the road to reach this spot surrounded with forest.one may coffee plants while he climbs down the stairs. it was an amazing view here .                                                                                 

                                                                               

7.Raja's seat :

                                             Its said that raja(king) used to sit at this place and view the sunset and sunrise.There is the garden situated at this place.Also there is a sunset point at this place to view the sunset etc.
